The bottom line for most people starting out with blues guitar is to become a solo player. This means you know how to improvise and to write yourself a collection of licks. Here is a starter in the form of the blues scale in A. Use alternate picking to play it up and down and sideways until you can do it in your sleep and then do the same in other keys. But practice slowly – your aim is to get it right. Speed comes by itself later.

[..YouTube..] Fun lick
Shall play around with it.
[..YouTube..] Hey, I know this guy pretty well, he would do the video chats early in the morning, so there would just be me, him, and like 2 other guys, good times.
[..YouTube..] its easier to work video lessons when the guitar on the vid has fret markers, it gives the viewer visual markers as guilds.
