Guitar video lessons for learning chords

Filed under: Video Guitar Lessons - 19 Jul 2008

Here are some more lessons to follow up on the posts for beginners to learn guitar chords and on learning guitar chords easily.

I just watched three video lessons from Dan Denley’s “Ultimate Guide To Chords” which is coming July 31), and they’re full of good, meaty instruction. The course includes seven hours of DVD video, two audio CD’s with 43, full-band jam-tracks, and 2 CD-ROMs with 17 additional video tutorials.

He explains where chords come from and how they’re used in songs, the roman numeral system and scale degrees. Then he gives you two blues examples to put it all into practice.

You’ll need to opt-in with your name and email address to watch the videos. He wants you to do this so he can follow-up with you about his course. You can unsubscribe right after you watch the videos if you want, but I wouldn’t recommend it because he gives away a pile of lessons all the time.

So go grab your guitar and learn some new stuff. Step By Step Chord Videos

A treasure chest for guitar players

Filed under: Free Lessons, Video Guitar Lessons - 30 Apr 2008

Public access TV is a corner of the universe where people share genuinely valuable knowledge about subjects that interest them. A shining example of this art form is Tom’s Guitar Show, a video guitar lesson program hosted by multi-instrumentalist Tom Nothnagle, has informative video presentations about every genre of guitar playing. “It’s about an hour. It’s about guitars. Welcome to the online extension of Tom Nothnagle’s decade-long running weekly live cablecast from Iowa City, Iowa where you’ll find video, audio, photos and resources devoted to all things guitaristic.
It’s about guitar players and guitar playing. Flamenco-bomba, sure! Slack key, why not? Baroque, bottleneck, bossa nova… just name it! He’s called Guitar Tom because he plays guitars, he plays them well, and he plays them a lot in just about any style on just about anything with frets (and some without).”
