Fingerpicking guitar gives you a lot of satisfaction and your audiences a lot of pleasure watching you play. As you learn to play the bass line, melody and chords, the possibilities for adding your own individuality to any piece quickly show themselves. If you don’t know where to start as a fingerpicker, start with a tutor or tabs for some familiar folk songs or arrangements of songs you enjoy listening to. You might not want to make a career of playing “On Top Of Old Smokey” but songs that you know intimately could be a good start.
