Folk Guitar Fingerstyle is a web page featuring a free guitar lesson showing a fingerpicking pattern using the D chord. I’m all for simplicity so I will share this page with you. And I’ve also found a site called May Studio Music Lessons. They have lots of free guitar lessons here but I thought I’d point out this one on power chords includes a joke about getting carried away by playing power chords and forgetting to learn how to play the guitar. I’ve heard about people actually doing that. It’s a very limited approach to the guitar but who am I to stop people having fun with their music. Lots of rock guitar players can’t play fingerstyle and classical guitarists can’t improvise. We are all limited in our way, all we need to watch out for is not pursuing our own private ambition.
