A Plug For Some Free Guitar Software

I have mentioned guitar software before, but last week I switched operating systems from XP to Ubuntu so I’ve had some first hand experience with Linux. Switching operating systems is not something you should do if you are in a hurry or if you don’t like fiddling with your computer. The reason I mention it is just to let you know that using the Wine interface to run Windows programs on Linux, I was able to continue using AP Guitar Tuner, which is great because the Linux guitar tuners I saw left me totally bamboozled. I decided to try the Tuxguitar editing program instead of Tabledit or Guitar Pro and I was pleasantly surprised to find that Tuxguitar played my Tabledit, GuitarPro and Power Tab files. What a relief!
