The musical notes for the guitar on the fretboard

This diagram represents the six strings of the guitar showing where you will find the notes, should you choose to look for them. The picture shows the view of the guitar depicted on the diagram.

There is a total of twelve notes on the fret board: A A# B C C# D D# E F F# G G#

The diagram labels only show the natural notes. The notes not labeled are sharps and flats. So the note on the top E string at the fourth fret is G# (sharp) or Ab (flat).
